Q: Do you guarantee your work?
A: Yes
Q: Can you do early morning, evening or night photography?
A: Yes
Q: Is there a difference between registration, certification and licensed?
A: Yes, registration applies to your aircraft (drone, uas, uav) similar to how you register an automobile (e.g. you get a license plate and tabs). Likewise, a certification or license is what allows a person to operate a vehicle (e.g drone, uas, uav, aircraft). If somebody has their drone registered as a hobbyist, they are not licensed or certified. Otoh, if somebody is doing non recreational flying, they need to have a FAA part 107 commercial operator certificate (license), or other FAA approval, in addition to their aircraft being registered. Learn more here (FAA Website) about FAA drone registration, hobby/recreational, commercial part 107 and other topics.
Q: What should someone look for when hiring a drone operator?
A: Regardless of if you are paying an operator, giving them a plate of cookies, tickets to an event, or simply mentioning there name as part of them doing drone services for you (e.g. photos, video, etc), they need to be FAA part 107 certificated (e.g. licensed). Even if your organization is a non-profit, if somebody is doing work or charity or volunteer activity for you, the FAA part 107 requirement applies.
FAA and MNDoT sUAS/UAV/Drone Licensed
Drone operators aircraft (drones) need to be FAA registered, and in the state of Minnesota, drones being used for commercial purposes need to be state registered. Minnesota also requires drone operators doing operations for others need to be licensed by MnDoT Aeronautics. MnDoT Aeronautics also requires drone operators to carry continuous drone insurance which is above and beyond normal business, or umbrella insurance coverage.
