Pictures Over Stillwater was established in 2018 and is FAA part 107 certified (with various waivers) for commercial drone operations across the United States. In addition to FAA certification, Pictures Over Stillwater is insured (indoor and outdoor) and licensed for commercial drone, aerial photography and image mapping operations in the state of Minnesota by MNDoT Aeronautics.

Our experiences and client solutions span all seasons, day and night along with having various FAA waivers including 107.29 (Daylight Waiver for night flying when it was required), 107.39 (OOP Operating Over People) and 107.145 (OOMV Operating Over Moving Vehicles). In addition Pictures Over Stillwater is experienced in obtaining special FAA airspace authorization requiring additional coordination for closed or restricted areas.

Ground Photos Samples
In addition to aerial drone photography, videography, photogrammetry, 360 and virtual tours, Pictures Over Stillwater also does ground non-drone imagery capture (photos, videos). While our name says Stillwater, our service area is the upper midwest (e.g. Pictures Over Midwest) including the Minneapolis St Paul twin cities metro, along with Western Wisconsin and greater Minnesota areas (we also travel to other locations around the country).

KSTP Minnesota Live Guest Appearance
On Thursday February 6, 2025 Pictures Over Stillwater Founder Greg Schulz (me) was an in the KSTP TV studio guest for a live segment on Minnesota Live with Megan Newquist, Chris Egert and Ken Barlow.
Our conversation included how I got into doing drone aerial photography and video, as well as ground based photos & video, drone safety, covering and capturing events, drone community education and more.
