What this means is that we have various tools and experience to leverage different technologies and techniques to the project requirements. In other words, we have more than just a hammer in our toolbox so everything does not look like a nail.
Pictures Over Stillwater has various aircraft (e.g. drones) ranging from traditional GPS gimbal stabilized camera drones to FPV. We use First Person View (FPV) cinewhoop drones for action shots indoors and outside. In addition to drones, we also have various ground based cameras including some that we have attached to airplanes for aerial imagery capture.
Why have multiple aircraft (drones) and why not just use one or the other? That is a common question we get asked and the answer is, multiple aircraft provide backup when at a project site. The answer to why not just one is that different missions, locations, events, weather conditions, activity requirements have various needs.
For example, need live video HDMI feed (beyond using FaceBook or Social media feed with 20+ second delay), then we use Autel EVO IIs. Need coverage of an event with tight working conditions and the need to be quiet with 4K capabilities, then its either our Autel EVO II’s, DJI Mavic 2 Pros, or FPV drones.
Pictures Over Stillwater is licensed (Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) part 107 certified, Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDoT)) for commercial drone operations in Minnesota and across the United States. Our aircraft (drones) are Minnesota state as well as FAA registered and insured (indoors and outdoors). We are also experienced in obtaining standard FAA airspace authorizations (e.g. via LAANC) as well as advanced approvals and waivers including for in no fly zones (NFZs).
